A place to be seen and heard- where you come first.
Licensed therapist for women in Miramar and across Florida.
Meet Veltimar Dossat, LMHC
On the surface, you’re holding everything together.
But underneath, something does not feel right.
And you’re here because you’re hoping that someone will finally see you and hear your pain.
You’ve watched all the Tik Tok videos and read the hot pick from your favorite creator. You’ve listened to podcasts and maybe even tried traditional talk therapy. But the anxiety creeps back. The same headache and body aches keep you up at night. And you still find yourself saying ‘yes’ to every request from work and your family, despite being burned out and exhausted.
There’s a reason this keeps happening - let’s figure it out together.

How I work
I provide insightful therapy for value-driven women.
I work with clients who are looking for therapy that:
-
I incorporate therapy approaches that are backed by research, but the overall approach is designed to work for you, and not the other way around. The length of treatment is determined by the concerns you would like to focus on and how much they impact your daily life.
-
As a second-generation daughter of immigrants who grew up in the vibrant melting pot of South Florida, I know how it feels to navigate two worlds. Our work together will unpack dynamics that keep you stuck while holding space for your cultural values, traditions, and wisdom.
-
We won’t just focus on what’s happening on the surface — we’ll slow down and explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that shaped how you move through the world, so real change can happen. This approach works best with clients who are ready to dig in and commit to the therapy process consistently.
Not only do I get it, I’ve lived it…
As an eldest daughter from a Caribbean and Latin American background, I also understand the layered experience of navigating culture, identity, and responsibility. You won’t have to explain or minimize those parts of your story here.
Clients often tell me they feel both deeply supported and gently challenged in our work—that I meet them where they are, while helping them move out of feeling stuck and into feeling more connected to themselves and others.
And I want to help you live life on your own terms.
Many of my clients come in after trying to think their way out of anxiety, burnout, or relationship patterns—but something still isn’t shifting. That’s because so much of what you’re carrying isn’t just in your thoughts. It lives in your body, your relationships, and the roles you’ve had to play for a long time.
I’m especially skilled at helping you name the patterns that have been hard to see on your own, like the unspoken family rules, the expectations you’ve carried, and the responsibilities you’ve taken on without realizing it.

What does it mean to ‘be well’?
Wellness is a term that looks far past the medical diagnoses, the medication, or the stigma. To me, therapy is an active pursuit of a goal that helps you create a life that feels good. At Let’s Be Well! Counseling Services, you’re more than a label. And I don’t expect you to be anything but yourself. This is an invitation to lean in and be well.
